Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all transactions between West End Wardrobe – Dress Rental (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”). By making a booking and completing payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately.
1. Bookings and Hire Period
- A booking is only confirmed once full payment is received via our website.
- Try-on appointments or enquiries do not guarantee a reservation for your preferred dates.
- Garments cannot be collected without full payment.
- The standard hire period is 3 days, including the day of collection and the day of return, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
- We do not offer refunds for change of mind or booking cancellations.
- In limited circumstances, we may offer store credit at our discretion, valid for 3, 6, or 12 months depending on the situation.
- If we cancel your booking, a refund will be issued minus transaction fees.
3. Collection and Returns
- Our pickup and return location is in West End, Brisbane.
- It is your responsibility to collect and return the garment on time during business hours.
- If you fail to collect your item within your hire period, no refund or credit will be given.
- Garments must be returned by the last day of your hire period. Return times must be arranged in advance.
- Items must not be left unattended.
4. Garment Condition and Try-Ons
- Our garments are pre-loved and professionally maintained. Minor wear may be visible but will not affect wearability.
- During pickup, we will inspect the garment with you. Any concerns must be raised immediately.
- Try-on appointments incur a $20 non-refundable fee, which may be credited toward a booking made within 14 days. No-shows or cancellations forfeit this fee.
5. Care and Handling of Garments
- You agree to treat all items with care. You must not alter or damage garments (e.g., no pinning, taping, or stitching) without our approval.
- Do not wash or dry clean any garment. We professionally clean all items after return.
- You will be responsible for any damage, excessive staining, or misuse, and additional cleaning or repair fees may apply.
- If damage renders a garment unhireable, you may be charged the replacement cost (see Section 6).
6. Loss, Theft or Irreparable Damage
- You are responsible for the garment from the time of collection until return.
- If a garment is lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged, you will be liable for the full replacement cost.
- Replacement value is based on the current market price, original RRP, condition prior to hire, and rental fees already paid.
- This charge may be up to 100% of the garment’s RRP, plus any applicable late fees or costs already incurred.
7. Liability
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any personal injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use of any garment.
- You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claims arising from misuse of our garments.
8. General
- By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms.
